Strategic Plan

We are delighted to share our 2018-2022 Strategic Plan.

Why a Strategic Plan?
Section 169.1 of Ontario's Education Act requires school boards and school authorities to develop a multi-year (strategic) plan for three or more years. Multi-year strategic plans are aimed at helping school boards achieve the following goals:
  • Promote student achievement and well-being;
  • Ensure effective stewardship of resources
  • Deliver effective and appropriate education programs to its pupils.

With this in mind, in June 2016, Niagara Children's Centre School initiated a Strategic Planning process to develop a Mission, a Vision, and a Values statement, as well as a multi-year strategic plan to guide the work of Niagara Children's Centre School.

Using focus groups, surveys, interviews and strategic planning sessions, we set out to gather input from each of our stakeholders - trustees, staff, parents, partners and members of the community.

The feedback we collected helped us to develop a clear Mission, Vision and Values statement, reflective of our school community. the feedback also provided a clear indication of the areas needing our attention. These areas are the Strategic Priorities that will guide our efforts over the next several years.

This section of the website provides an overview of the strategic priorities and the goals we will undertake as a school over the next five years. We invite you to contact Oksana Fisher for more information.
