Through songs, simple instruments, and playful props, children and their caregivers will experience the magic of music, sparking connections, communication, creativity, and self-expression in a playful way.

Explore the spaces where therapy sessions take place, learn how to access the enclosed outdoor playground, discover the many resources and supports available to families, and take a peek at the beautiful saltwater pool. This is a great chance to get familiar with the Centre and ask questions in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Dive into a fun night of Bingo hosted by Sunny the River Otter, in a playful, low-pressure environment with themed bingo cards and cool kid-approved prizes! Come for some friendly competition and cheer each other on, all while working on attention and focus, memory and recognition, matching, and simple decision-making.

Join us for the perfect morning of stories, movement and fun! From 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., families are invited to join Centre staff at Dr. Huq Library to explore, borrow books and attend story time with a librarian before heading to get changed for leisure swim from 11:00 to 11:55 a.m. at Kiwanis Aquatics Centre — all located in the same building. Centre staff will be available to support families every step of the way, including in the change room. This event is perfect for all comfort and skill levels!

In this one-hour caregiver workshop, we’ll combine Dr. Shanker’s Five Domains of Stress with Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to explore how stress shapes behaviour and share practical strategies to reduce stress for both children and caregivers.

Through water games, swimming activities, and guided movement exercises, children develop balance, strength, coordination, mobility, and confidence in a supportive pool environment. Caregivers participate in the water alongside their child to provide support, encouragement, and shared enjoyment of the activities.
