Toe Walking

Added on: November 06, 2025
Search

When children first start to walk, it’s common for them to walk on their toes or the balls of their feet. This is called toe walking. Most children outgrow this as they get older. Some kids keep toe walking after the toddler years, usually just out of habit. If your child is growing and developing normally, toe walking is usually nothing to worry about. This PowerPoint has more information about toe walking and some simple, fun activities that can help children learn to walk with their whole foot on the ground.
