Days of Significance Calendar
We value the diverse identities, experiences, perspectives, and abilities of the children, youth, families, staff, board members, and community partners who make up our community.
The calendar provides opportunities for learning, reflection, recognition and celebration, while helping us better understand and appreciate the diverse experiences, identities and perspectives within our community. It is curated by our EDIA Committee as a resource to support meaningful engagement throughout the year.
Note: Select days may vary by a few days before or after the indicated date due to the observance of the lunar calendar for some cultures/faiths and time zones.

World Children's Day
World Children’s Day is UNICEF’s annual day of action for children, by children, marking the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Children’s rights are human rights. But in too many places today, children’s rights are under attack.
On World Children’s Day we make space for children and young people to raise their voices on the issues that matter to them. By prioritizing children's rights and participation, we can help to build a better future for all.
