We value the diverse identities, experiences, perspectives, and abilities of the children, youth, families, staff, board members, and community partners who make up our community.
The calendar provides opportunities for learning, reflection, recognition and celebration, while helping us better understand and appreciate the diverse experiences, identities and perspectives within our community. It is curated by our EDIA Committee as a resource to support meaningful engagement throughout the year.
Note: Select days may vary by a few days before or after the indicated date due to the observance of the lunar calendar for some cultures/faiths and time zones.

Infant and Child Development Day
Infant and Child Development Day is celebrated every year on June 18 to recognize the vital role of Infant and Child Development (ICD) professionals in supporting families with young children who experience developmental challenges. These dedicated professionals provide early intervention, guidance, and connection, helping children reach their potential and supporting families every step of the way. This day is an opportunity to acknowledge their compassion, expertise, and commitment to fostering growth, belonging, and a strong foundation for every child.
