Days of Significance Calendar
We value the diverse identities, experiences, perspectives, and abilities of the children, youth, families, staff, board members, and community partners who make up our community.
The calendar provides opportunities for learning, reflection, recognition and celebration, while helping us better understand and appreciate the diverse experiences, identities and perspectives within our community. It is curated by our EDIA Committee as a resource to support meaningful engagement throughout the year.
Note: Select days may vary by a few days before or after the indicated date due to the observance of the lunar calendar for some cultures/faiths and time zones.

Feeding Tube Awareness Week
Feeding Tube Awareness Week is recognized globally during the first week of February. Feeding tubes, a remarkable innovation of modern medicine, have saved millions of lives and significantly improved infant survival rates.
In 2011, the Feeding Tube Awareness Foundation established this dedicated week to highlight the critical role feeding tubes play in the lives of individuals. Each February, families of patients and survivors unite to share how feeding tubes have positively impacted their lives while also addressing and challenging the stigma surrounding their use.
