Your connection to the Centre extends beyond your child’s visits with their therapists. We offer a full catalogue of FREE events for children, youth, and their families to receive information, education, support as well as opportunities to connect with others with shared experiences. We also offer opportunities for children and youth to engage in inclusive, accessible recreation activities and skill development in group settings.

River Reporters
Calling all young storytellers! This group gives youth an opportunity to explore their creativity, share their opinions, and collaborate on a youth-led newspaper. Together, our reporters will highlight events, achievements, personal stories, and “must-shares” from our Centre and the community. A variety of adapted writing methods will be used to support participation.
Please note: The recommended age range is 12–18. If you feel this program may be a good fit for your child, please don’t hesitate to contact rec@niagarachildrenscentre.com. Participants must not require one-to-one support for behavioural needs. Participants who need assistance with toileting must have a caregiver on-site.
